Spencer used to work at a company that manufactured and sold explosives. Unfortunately for Spencer, he was caught selling explosives to anti-American organizations for a little extra cash on the side. The U.S. government took matters into their own hands and stuck Spencer in a room full of bombs that he had sold and set them off. Miraculously and with the help of his sister, Linda, he survived. However, the experience was traumatic and left Spencer disfigured for life and in a constant state of pain. He was paranoid and delusional. He turned to drugs in order to cope with his condition and was eventually driven to total madness.

Spencer is a demolition expert and the only thing he can fully comprehend now is how to make something explode. His favorite method of sending something into a fiery ball is by attaching explosives to animals. He is very good at what he does and was accepted into The AoAS. Spencer and Pascal used to work jobs together from time to time back when Pascal was still a member. The two still occasionally get together.
